URGENT HIBERNATION QUESTION

twilightfade212 Dec 14, 2004 07:27 PM

I have three three toed box turtles. It was at 50 degrees today, and two turtles were under the leaves, but one was still out! Is this anything to be worried about? I put him under some leaves and he has stayed there. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Relax, and figure the turtle knows its specific needs better than you do. If it starts cooling again, the turtle will seek shelter.

Merry Christmas! I only started brumating my turtles (indoors) about 5 years ago (I've had them since the early 80s) and I was very apprehensive at first. After several seasons of monitoring their cooling periods, I've become a little more tolerant of things like temperature fluctuations etc.
