Patternless vs. patternless albino

deuce02 Dec 14, 2004 08:02 PM

OK,
so i have two hatchlings, both obviously patternless. One has shown a bright yellow and white tail. NO dark color at all on her. the other is more of a dull yellow and dark brown. Is the one a patt albino? never dawned on me until the other came out sooo dull. i have pics of both.

i think both are very nice looking geckos. I wouldn't call the other one dull, i think he looks great

thanks.
i guess dull was the wrong word to use. I just ment she is darker then the other. believe it or not both came from the same parents. what a difference.

The tail doesn't quite look like a PA tail. Fantastic color though. I think nice patternless leos like this one are more rare than PAs.

Some of them are hard to tell apart. I usually look at the tail. PAs have a very bright pinkish white, whereas patternless leos have a greyish purple hue. Yours has a very faint cast of grey on its tail. It's not very obvious, but if it were a PA, the tail would be a much cleaner white. R2 Reptiles has some patternless pics you should check out if you want to see what I'm talking about. I'd put a link to the site but it's censored for some reason. ?! Just add a .com to their business name and that's the URL.
