>>Im just curious on how active your uromastyx are during the day. I have a Nigerian and it seems he is active around 8a.m to about 12 in the afternoon, then he sleeps all day/night! Im at school all day long ,so I never get to see him. Also one more question im interested in getting another and wanted to know if a juvenile would fight with say a baby?
It depends on when you have your lights timed to come on and off. Since I work during the day I have my lights offset about 4 hours from sunrise and sunset (lights come on at 10 and heat at 11) that way he is still active when I get home at 3-4. Right now I am still shortening the artificial days for my uro but he generally gets up about an hour after the heat lamps come on and is active for about 3-4 hours then hides and sometimes pokes his nose out. Right now I have 9 hours of daylight and 7 hours of heat going that will eventually be shortened to 6 hours of daylight and 4 hours of heat. In the summer when I have 14 hours of daylight and 12 hours of heat he generally gets up a little later but is active for more like 6-8 hours.
As long as your cage is not right near an open window and you can control the lighting in the room there is no reason that I know of that you can't shift your uros awake time to be while you are there.
As far as housing two together you must always be prepared to house them seperately if they don't get along.
