This little guy wa left alone with a cricket and it had a good little snack of his back. I took him in trying to save him and he is a healthy little boy now except for the humped back. Please anyone who see's this do not leave you beardies especially babies alone with crickets.

He runs a little sideways but other than that he is fiesty as a regular beardie, only thing he doesn't like to be outside it really frightens him. I think he knows he is special and very vunerable to anything bigger.

He was left alone with crickets in his cage and they really did a job on his back. When I took him because he was considered a goner, you could see his spine and it was a really nasty gaping hole. I am a firm believer now in the healing power of neosporin because in two days it almost completely healed the hole in his little back and with a little TLC he healed up really fast. He was always feisty and I even though at first I doubted he might survive he proved me wrong. He runs sideways a bit and has problems doing a circle but it doesn't slow him down and boy can he run the fastest outta all of them.
He is a funny little beardie, he gets the nastiest little beard when he is outside with a big ol' open mouthed don't mess with me look how big I am because he knows he is special and when he see's the big boy Bruiser,he gets the whole hand waving, neck bobbing I am just a little guy don't eat me thing going on, its funny how fast he can change. I only wished we had gotten pictures of his back for people to see what amount of damage a cricket can do. Here is a pic where you can really see his scar, you can see that his back isn't perfectly straight from the top.

Please forgive me for posting in this thread, but I've had trouble with the Bearded Dragon forum page all day; it never completely loads & keeps trying to reload itself very quickly. I'm not having any apparent trouble with any of the other ks pages, just this one. Thanks for any responses/help, & again, I'm sorry to post in this thread.

That's quite a bump...are you sure it's not growing into an abscess? It is remarkable the work you did to pull him through this far but I would be concerned by such a large lump on his back. Did you have a vet instect him lately just in case there is infection causing the large lump that would need to be drained? I would hate for him to suddenly take a turn for the worse after all the hard work you put in.
