So I was holding Kalypso today and I noticed her arm pits were a little fatter than usual. I'm hoping this means that she's run out of fat storage in her tail so she's moved to her arm pits.

She looks happier now more than ever (she has always been happy).

grim has those big pockets under all 4 of his legs. i dont kno if theyve ever dicided on what those are, but as far as i know, they havent. we all think there fat pockets, so yeah thats deff good. if any one found out for 110% sure, id like to know.

I'm sure all of us would like to deffinetley know for sure that those are fat pockets and that it's real good. Today I'm gonna go buy lil' miss piggy (aka kalypso) some crix and worms. She's been eating more worms than crix. She does that every once in awhile.

I was thinking about getting another leopard gecko because they are so nice and easy going (could just be her though). If I do get another one, what would you all suggest?

These are pics of similar gecko's I see at this one place (it's a good store, I go there every time someone new is hired and tell them what all needs to be done to help keep these animals in good health) and I was thinking about one of these two they have. If anyone can tell me a type that'd be great.

those are fat pockets in the armpits. Not sure what book it was in, but that's what hey are. be happy that your gex are in such great shape! Both of those pics are albinos, but not trempers. Get a 2nd opininon tho

It's nice to have confirmation on something that is viewed as a little controversial.

I'd like to get another gecko. Right now I have to choose between another leopard gecko or an Egyptian Uromastyx.

What to do.......I'll have to think about it for awhile.

an egyption so bad. id go with the egyptions. but thats just me and i do have 7 leos already. lol. and as for the 2 albinos, im not to sure about the baby, all 3 ussually look the same as hatchlings. but the bigger one im deff leaning twards bell.

I love leopard geckos but I think it's fun to expand your experience by keeping other species as well.

I agree that they're both trempers. I have tremper albinos that are even darker than that. Check out www.vmsherp.com they have some good examples of very dark trempers on their available page.

I've seen some babies darken up to the point of looking almost like normals unless you look closely at them.

I actually thought they were all this dark purple-grey color. I could see maybe a bell, too, but I'm no albino expert.

i was actually wondering if my guy had some hypo genes. how d'know she's a bell? do they all have that spinal stripe?

The banding is too clean, and even the patterning on the head and the tail spells Tremper.

one thing i along with a couple others agree on is you cant always go by the bands. i will agree about the head and tail markings thou. also the spots on the legs is another way to tell.
