Feeding Wild-caught mice

z10silver Dec 14, 2004 09:54 PM

I work in a pizza place and they have a mice problem. Right now they are just killing the mice and tossing them. My question is if I catch mice, then freeze them for 2-3 weeks, will this be sufficient freezing to kill all parasites and whatever disease the mice may have carried? I figure this way I will helpthe store with the problem, and help out me with feeding my albino nelsoni!

I wouldn't feed them to your snake. There's no way of telling where the mice have been going or feeding. What they have been feeding on or if they have ingested any poisons. It's just not worth the risk.
