but why not wait a few years for real surinam albinos to become available? 25% bred with a 50% is still only going to create 37.5% surinams....

regardless he is beautiful... and i know itll be years before theyre available and more years before theyre affordable,.. but i think the wait for the true surinam albinos wil be worth it.

If what you call "true" or Real suriname albino's are not available now, how can you predict that they'll ever be available???
Unless you're saying that you can potentially breed the columbian blood right out of that snake in so many said years.....
That statement just left me feeling a little confused, or maybe misled.

i just meant, there are real surinam albinos...2 that ive heard of. it will take a few years before their offspring breed and make more.... and number of more years before the price is tangible to most collectors.

it is not possible to breed the columbuan out once its there... you can keep getting it closer and closer to 100% but theres always gonna be columbian blood in em... im not freaked about the cross...or condeming it. i jsut think that once the real surinam albinos are available theyll be much hotter than crosses.
and i do personally preffer a "pure" animal... but thats just me.

i suppose youre right... i cant predict that they will ever be available... they may die tommorow... i think even if that were to happen more will be found in the future, and eventually we'll be able to have 100% BCC albinos. but you are right, we wont know till it happens

I was unaware of the existence of albino suriname.....any info would be appreciated.

Hey Sean,

Thanks for the compliment. I am working with these animals simply because they are what I like. I doubt that I will be able to afford a pure Suri Albino if they are produced anytime soon. Whether they are "pure" makes little difference to me. What excites me is seeing the Suri characteristics displayed in albino form. It is also beneficial to outcross these animals as much as possible. My male an his future mates are unrelated. These animals are so variable I think only time will tell which will look better... Suri albinos or hybrid Albinos.

By the way, I respect your preference to only collect animals that are "pure." To each his own. Also, if anyone can get that Suri Albino to breed it'll be Tracy Barker.

Peace,
Oz

really exciting to see the suri characteristics displayed in an albino,... and they are undeniably gorgeous...no doubt... good luck with that one!

i think a T positive albino suri would be the ultimate, imagine the pinks and the red tail sheeesh...
