Sorry I've been delinquent! After a ridiculously expensive trip to the specialist where poor Ndugu was sedated, cultured and reawakened, we've determined that...he seems to be fine. Figures. 
Not that I mind - no one really knows what was happening, but he's a little better now and his snuffly wheeze sounds less like pneumonia and more like a typical redfoot noise. We're keeping our fingers crossed here, and his appetite remains strong - gotta be a good sign, right?
I'll keep you up to date if anything changes, but thanks for your advice, support, prayers, etc! We really appreciate it
