i live in california and about 3 months ago i went into a canyon a couple miles away frme my house i am an avid herper and keep 3 snakes right now . well i was up their and then i saw it a rattler i dont kno the exact type im not realy familiar with them .i have worked with quite a few agressive snakes so i was prepared (as far as you can with your first poisonous snake.i walked over with a stick in hand it was loose dirt so i sliped the stick under his middle of his belly then moved him into the open . i then pinned his head andgrasped his head. i have never been so exited it left me breathless how somthing so beutiful can be so dangerous.
then 3 days ago i went camping at lake mc swein when we were coming back frome the lake when sally yells and then sais snake.i had brought my snake stick so i step down the side of the hill and saw it was a rattler it had not even noticed her i grabbed my snake stick and a branch theni went around and preceded to slip the hook under its head it then coiled and rattled once i got it onto the hook it stopped rattling and.i think i just may be hooked up on their beuty.
