Joel,
I was going to buy the system a year ago and the owner of the company talked me out of it. The insulating required to prevent my dry wall from getting damaged was too much of a commitment for an area that I still consider temporary housing.
I currently use sears home humidifiers during the drier months, but if I had a permanent set up, I would take another look at it.
The owner of Pro-Mist is very knowlegable, and seems sincerely interested in helping out with individual situations rather than selling his own products. The business is a hobby service to fellow herpers. There are lots of cheaper alternatives, but in the end you usually get what you pay for.
Greetings from a cyber cafe in Puerto Cortes.

thanks john, for taking time from your latest voyage. I explained my set up in detail and he was very helpful. I have been looking at other systems and they compare themselves to Pro Mist, hmm. Let me know when you are back and I'll send you a picture of what I set up.
Hi, I use the promist system. Cant remember the model number but it is the better one that can run dry. I use it in the house and it works really well but you do have to be careful not to leave it on too long as the water does pool up. Even the low flo nozzles shoot out a fair amount of water. I use it in my reptile room with two aimed nearby the igs main basking spot, one near another basking spot and one right into my redfoot enclosure. I do think that you can get similar results from a good warm mist humidifier. I have not had good luck with the cool mist ones tho. They get moldy fast.
The pro mist system works as they say it does. It is easy to add more tubing and more nozzles. Ihave it set up to mist one minute every hour and like I said, the water still pools up in several areas.
