maybe a stupid question, but exactly what are you supposed to be doing while handling/taming your monitor?

Now what I mean is, do you just let it sit in your lap and scratch it's head, hold it in your hand(s), let it walk around, stick it under your shirt or down your pants (get your mind out of the gutter)?

After having Critter for 2 months now, I'm just curious am I going about it the right way. I usually just hold him my hands for alittle bit, then set him in my lap and cover him with my shirt to keep him warm or he'll crawl down my pants(I always wear shorts underneath, so no, he's not touching anything....)

I guess I'm an odd monitor keeper. I don't handle mine unless nessasary. I don't get any of mine out to watch tv or just hang out on the couch. I have a dog for that. If I did, I am sure they wouldn't sit still for long and would explore and break something. They are good at knocking over and breaking things.
