Also in the same ad, he says she came from a clutch of 19 eggs. Has anyone else heard of such a thing, I thought the record was 10, guess I was way wrong.
They corrected the ad to show 15. I see Ralph Davis shows a clutch of 11 in 2004 on his site and I thought someone here had a clutch of 18 this year or last. I could be wrong on the 18 but I'm pretty sure that is what it was. I know there have been a number of clutches over 10 though.

That's worth something... good genetics.

In "Ball Pythons Habitat, Care and Breeding" by Stefan Broghammer there is a Cites study of wild caught females and it shows a 3600 gram (a little under 8 pounds) female laying 15 eggs. I know Kevin from NERD mentioned he had a 9 pounder, so you never know.

There is a Joan who posts on another site I can't name here under the login jfmoore and used to post on kingsnake who has a female that has laid up to 17 good eggs in a clutch. I think back when that clutch was posted on kingsnake a year or two ago it was mentioned that Tracy Barker has produced clutches right near that size also. I vaguely remember an importer chiming in once about an 18 egg clutch from a wild caught female but that wouldn't be nearly as well documented as the 17. I would say that 19 would probably be the record when someone gets one that size.
Joan Moore here in the Chicago area last year had not one but TWO clutches of 17 and 1 clutch of 14. These were from obviously huge females. In fact the clutches of eggs themselves (#17) weighed over 3000 gm. For real. She could single-handedly blow the fill-in-the-blank market lol!

Dear Moderator,
Would it be an inconvenience for you to delete this thread? I originally posted it simply because of the humorous idea that a fuzzie rat was eating a Pinstripe Ball Python. Quite an expensive meal! However, it seems this same post has sparked mild controversy as to the validity of facts offered throughout the advertisement. I do not wish for this person's name (good or bad) to be on trial because of my taste in humor. Please do me a favor and delete this thread. My conscience is suffering.
Thank You,
Chris Bianco

I was logging onto the the forum to write about the ad, to ask about clutchs that large. I wasn't trying to prove anyone wrong, just asking for my own knowledge. I'm happy w/ 8 eggs in a clutch and did not realize they could lay so many. Didn't mean to change the point of your thread.
