loose flesh around armpits

timpittman Dec 15, 2004 03:41 PM

This discussion of fat armpits caught my eye. A female in one of my breeding groups has a translucent pouch of skin just below both front limbs. Appears to simply be a pouch of skin like webbing almost. Clear, soft, flexible. But not normal. I have eight other leos and none have demonstrated this trait. The female and her partners are doing well, but they are not as active as my other lizards. Wonder if any of you have seen this before? Could it be related to activity levels? Any known cause? Ideas appreciated.

Hi Tim! What you are describing are most likely fatty deposits, which usually means the geckos are in good condition to start breeding! Nothing to worry about at all..
