Shedding Question

netonediecast Dec 15, 2004 04:39 PM

Hello, I purchased our RTB on Sunday. We noticed his eyes were a little cloudy looking, and they (The PetStore) said he was about to shed. But today I notice his eyes were almost a gray color and I have not notice anything like he is going to start shedding.

I am new to Boas and I wanted to know how long does it normally take after the eyes start turning cloudy before she should shed? With my corn his eyes usually turn cloudy one day and within a day ( /- a day) she is done.

So my question is how long should I wait or should I take her back?

Tanks info: Day Time Temp 88-90 Hem 45-50%

Thanks
John

PS the pic is what she look like the day we bought her home.

Eyes can be cloudy for as long as 3-4 days then clear for as long as 3-4 more days before the animals sheds. Don't worry just yet. Give it some more time. The shedding process takes less time for my colubrids as well.
Background temp 80-85
hot spot approx 90
hum 60-70 percent ---------RON
