She just looks bored

grama_to_dragon Dec 15, 2004 06:19 PM

I think Princess(we hope it's a girl) is feeling better. Her stool isn't runny anymore and she seems to have gotten her appetite back. But she just looks bored. She just sits in her tank in one spot most of the day. What is she supposed to be doing?

What do yours do when they're not eating?

Any feedback is appreciated.

Does she sit in the cool spot or the basking spot. Too much in either one could be a sign that the temps are off. I know you were getting some help with some other stuff before but i'm too lazy to go back and read it right now so if your temps have already been checked, sorry.

I was going to ask the same question as Sean... What are the temps?

The first time I got my beardie, my temps were a bit on the short side (basking temp = 95F, cool side = 75F). Even though my beardie was on the warmer side, He hung out under his hide or under the basking branch and just stayed there. I got my temp gun from www.TempGun.com and checked the exact temp (since the little needle guages or the sticky therms don't cut it). So after I found out those temps, I got a new bulb and he was active. Eating more than previously, poopin a whole lot, basking more often, running around the cage, etc.

So maybe the temps might be off...
