Can anyone help me with a picture of the vent area of the male and female or just tell me if there should be preanal pores on the male. I bought a pair and they both have slight bulges but neither have pores thanx

i don't know how long it takes for them to get that big however. i would imagine atleast 4 months before it is easy to tell.

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this, but U. lineatus are
easily sexed from birth. One broken light one stripe down the centre of the back and it's male, one clear light stripe down each side is female.

so all males will tend to have a zig-zag pattern down the middle of the back? i've only dealt with a few but definately noticed the difference in pattern between male and female so far. i just didn't know if it was a coincidence.
