tegu not eating

nogard Dec 15, 2004 10:44 PM

My tegu, was awaken almost a week ago and has only eaten one cricket and nothing else, should I try just pinkies and leave them in his cage? I have tried that with crickets and superworms and he has only eaten once, any other ways to get him more active, he isnt sick and I am taking him in for a check up tomorrow to know for sure, should I dig him up and put him under his basking light then feed him after a hour or so?

thanks

Definitely try leaving a pinkie in there for him, my tegu can been a bit of a picky eater lately but someone advised me to "pre-kill" the crickets now he'll eat like 20 . You could always try that but a vet visit is a good idea.
