Looks like stuarti to me also. Really nice thin snout band with a deep apex. Where did you vacation, in Costa Rica? If so, where at there?

Yes, stuarti in C.R. I went on one of Jim Kavney's (hiss-n-things.com) trips, SW of San Jose not far from the Pacific coast, near Carara Natl Park.
In total coincidence, someone with apparently same first name as me also posted a stuarti recently.
Thanks for the info, Lindsay. Thats a nice looking snake you photographed. Yes, if you scroll down to Dec. 7 there is a stuarti that I think the owner said came from somewhere in Nicaraugua.

and one that perhaps should be split out of triangulum: two scarlet kings found near Tampa Bay. Note how different the red/black banding is. These were found within yards of each. Sorry, second one was DOR.
