I am thinking about getting a couple of collards for christmas and was just wondering if I could get an eastern collard and texas?? Would they get along or maybe even breed?

Get along? Hard to say. Breed? Only if they're male and female. 
There's no such thing as a "Texas collared lizard," even as a pattern class, let alone subspecies or even species. The only thing that would make it a "Texas" collared lizard is its geopolitical location of origin. I think the name is used in pet stores because they're ignorant.
They're all C. collaris ("easterns" and "Texas"
, but it wouldn't surprise me if they've mislabeled other collared species as well.

That's what happened to me. I bought two labelled as "texas collared lizards". I knew there was no such thing. They listed the latin name as crotaphytus collaris, which would be the eastern collared lizard.
They were wrong on both counts, as they were actually crotaphytus bicinctores.
