Dejavu??

I went up to the pet store tonight to get another mouse to feed William with... And if you've read my previous post ( The whole scoop on WIlliam), then you will find this kind of amusing, but strange all at the same time. I went up there and I was talking to one of the managers about William, and how I had gotten him because he had escaped and burnt himself on a light. She was quite surprised and asked if I had recently gotten him because they had another BP do that recently. When I told her no she gave me a strange look and asked if I would like to see something. I said sure and followed her into the back room where she showed me a small BP that had escaped and burnt itself on a light. I said how much. They said $20. I talked it over with my fiance and now am the proud owner of my 2nd BP. Kind of a coinkydink don't ya think? My fiance has decided that since we named the first one Sir William, that we should name this one Lancelot if it in fact turns out to be a boy.

Sorry no pictures yet.. I just got it home. I'll post some on here when I get them.

OK, so when is this pet store going to redo their cage so this doesn't happen a third time??

Ya know... I would love to be able to tell you.. But from what I understand.. Petco(which is where I got them both) has a reputation of this happening.

well i do agree with some petco stores not knowing much of anything about their reptile maintance...but i myself work at one and keep all my animals on close watch...so although 95% of the petco stores have people that don't know much of anything...the other 5% do know a thing or two about taking care of the animals...just my experience and my two cents....

p.s. here's a shot of a nice black back i got from the petco i work at when they were on sale...not bad for a petco snake i think...

very nice snake....in fact both of my snakes have now come from petco.... like i said... i can't complain about the price... and the fact that the older BP (William) has shed out of any scars...i know thatnot all the pet stores can be knowledgeable on everything... but the one by my house has a whole slough of animals in quarantine because they've gotten out one way or another

below is the pic of the first BP that I got from petco

Although tragic circumstances...great name! I'm still giggling pretty hard. =)

Yeah I would have to agree... It's not the best way to obtain a BP for a low price. But I look at it two ways. I'm rescuing the animals and trying to give them a better home. And I'm savin myself some money in the process.

Actually, I was laughing about the name Lancelot. Probably the most devilishly clever name I've heard in a very long time. Thanks again for the laugh. =)

No problem...My fiance is the one that came up with both of their names.

I bow to her genius. And I'm still laughing. =)

This was the second animal that was rescued because of heat burns. Its name is Lancelot.

Lance -- to burn
Alot -- several; more than one

Once again...what a brilliantly clever name! =)
