some of our pictures of my boyfriend's frogs. He has three but I only have been able to get good pictures of the two biggest, Gordito and Spud. Gordito is almost two and Spud is a year and a half.

Here's Spud (next to a quarter)...

and here's Gordito...

They're both girls and last time we weighed Gordito she was close to a pound.

whaaaat that thing is MASSIVE. What kind of set up does he have them in? I have two pacmans as well but they're babies. I don't know what I'm gonna do when they get that big, any tips?

Hehe...they're great. They actually don't do that much. My boyfriend has them in a custom made 33 gallon tank. It's 4' by 1' (think 55 gallon) but only 1' tall. Divided in three parts so they each have a little under the size of a ten gallon. Few inches of substrate and a water dish for each. Last year Gordito was the only one that hibernated and she dug herself down into six inches of gravel so that only her eyes were showing - it was amazing. As for tips, just have fun with them. As you can tell they don't like to move much which made them perfect to get some up close shots with my digital camera. Oh...if I could I'd try to get them on frozen mice when they get up there though. My boyfriend's take live mice (2 of the 3) and we're going to try to switch them over to frozen which will be a pain. It's also safer for the frog.

good luck getting them to eat anything not moving, although i guess you moving the mouse around may work if the frog is not skittish of you.

Tell me about it...he tried one when Spud came out of hibernation for a bit and Spud didn't look twice at it. Then again she went right back into hibernation so go figure. Our landlord isn't too keen on the live mouse idea though and we need to rent this place again next year.

Wow that must be a hassle to manage! How does he change the water and clean the place? I have a similar tank that's just rotting away. The dividers is a GREAT idea for when they get huge. What does he use to divide em?

It's not that bad. It's a basic glass aquarium that we had them put in glass dividers. He could take them all out and hose it off if need be. It's fairly new too and we got it for a really good price.
