Lookie What I Got!

jbudd Dec 16, 2004 07:55 PM

I finally picked up a Sumatran Short-Tail! This little guy is from Jeff Hartwig. I absolutely love his reduced dorsal pattern. He actually has a portion of his back that is basically patternless. The poor little monkey is in shed right now...as if being shipped across the country isn't bad enough! The first two pics are from Jeff and the second two are literally seconds after I pulled him out of the bag. Here he is...

from Jeff's site...

pic Jeff emailed to me...

right outta the bag...and needin' some heat!

still cold...

*I feel obligated to share what some of you already know...it was a pleasure to work with Jeff. He was beyond helpful and I could always count on a prompt response to either my phone call or email. Thanks, Jeff!

He's got some great looking animals, alright. After seeing several of Angel's posts, as well as Kara's, I pretty much knew I had to pick up atleast one from him. Thanks for the compliment!

Thanks! I can't wait to see how dark he is by the time he's an adult. Now I just need to find him a future mate!

Thanks, Jeff! I lucked out on this one. I emailed Hartwig about his current availability and it turns out that this guy wasn't sold yet, though he was listed as such on the website. Couldn't be happier. I had been looking for a chrome head earlier, but after seeing a few pics around here, decided to go as dark as possible. I think this guy should turn out alright. Let me know when you pick up your pair!

Thanks, Amelia! I've never really put much thought into breeding snakes, but these darn blood pythons have got me thinking 'bout it now! Angel should have the next clutch of blacks, no? Probably gonna be some smokin' babies there. Thanks, again!

You can't go wrong with Jeff's babies...I got 2.2 this year & every single one is a winner.

That male is just beautiful - can't wait to watch him grow up...congrats on a perfect new acquisition!
