Can they ship now?

Can a Ball Python be safely shipped at this time of year?
What is the lowest low temp to which a Ball Python can be safely shipped. Also how many heat packs should go in a 10x10x10 box to ship to really cold temps?

I live in a Northern state and there is NO way I would ship or receive a snake at this time of year. If the snakes do happen to arrive alive, they will most likely end up with a respitory infection anyways....
I wouldn't do it if I were you!

that would still be safe for shipping?

Ya.

I'm in Canada and I ship all year round. I PREFER to ship in winter. Its 10,000 times easier to heat a box up than to cool a box down. Summer shipping scares me. Especially at entry points like LA and Dallas.

So yeah to answer your question.

I've shipped baby chondros in temps below freezing. If you know how to pack a box, you won't have any problems. I use one heat pack per shipment. The animals always arrive toasty, but not overheated. Summer shipping sucks.
