I was worried that my baby albino ally wasnt eating right. I noticed this afternoon that she still hadn't ate any mealworms that are in her food dish (a old peanutbutter lid, so the mealies couldnt climb out). I changed her water daily but neverpaid attention to her drinking from it or not. While back to the subject I noticed that she was licking water from her papertowels in her humid hide and so forth. I put fresh water in the bowel and put her next to it and so just went straight ti her humid hide and did it again. I put a small lid in for water rather than the small ceramic one I was using. A little later she was walking to her cave adn saw it and began to drink from it. I figured since she couldnt see it at eye level that she didnt know what it was. Could this be the same for her mealies? And what can I use that is small but yet large enough to put the mealies and not escape? Im stumped!!!!

HELP!

Maybe just put some on a papertowel to see if the leo is interested in them? Just try with 2 or 3 of them, if the leo is interesed they wont get too far!

A clear ash tray is inexpensive and your gecko can see the mealies thru it. I use ones that are about 1" high and have flat sides so its just like looking thru glass.

You can get very small, ceramic feeding dishes from Petco...they are deep enough to keep mealies in though. I use them and have had no complaints.
