PLEASE HELP! My RES is two and a half months old and he is shedding, but we noticed today on the top of his shell it almost looks like knicks or something on his shell. The spots aren't while, they're yellow, almost like the colors are comning out. Is that shedding or shell rot? Or could it be he is just banging up against the rocks? Please let me know if anyone can help.

I'm not sure but I have noticed the same thing on mine. Its along where his spine would be. It doesn't seem to bug him but I'm worried it is bad for his shell.
Yeah, that's what I'm talking about too.. Any ideas?

not sure what you mean, but its normal for the outer layer of each scute to detach and shed. it happens bit by bit and can change the way the scute look before it actually peels up and falls off. could that be it? if so, theres no prob
