i have 4 american toads together all but one are about the same size and the smaller of the three (which is not that much smaller) is riding on the back of one of the larger toads they are in a mating position but not in the water and have been like this for two days it seems the larger one wants him off but he cant get him off and i do not want to intervene so please help i dont know if this hurting them or what?

Sounds like horny toads to me lol I dont think its something to worried about, chances are their both guys and one is just onfused which is why the other one wants him off. It could be a girl and a guy but I'm not an expert when it comes to american toads, just give it time.
