Meet chips, a little red (or soon to be red) dalmatian I produced last month.
Both parents were fairly heavily spotted, but nothing like this.

Very nice mr.C,
Dalmations are around but its about time somebody really started showing there full potential. By the way I'm looking for any cresteds with large amounts of red spotting, do you happen to own any? Let me know and feel free to email me Rhacophile@hotmail.com

Eli,
Several of the geckos from this group develop red spots as they get older, but they don't seem to lend themselves to selective breeding like the black spots do. In other words, no matter what I do, I've never been able to produce any with a lot of red spots.

That is super cool! I have been chasing spots for years and have never seen one like that!! Make more Please!
Thanks. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who likes these guys. That one has more spots than any baby I've ever seen. I just sent a similar sibling (the second best I've ever produced) to Randy (Neoscales). Hopefully, he'll post some good pics.

How many do you expect to produce?

Arboreals Etc...
Thanks, Bobby. I'm not sure how many of those I'll get this year. The parents were first year breeders, so I only got about 12 babies out of them this year...five or six of which had either no spots or just average amounts of spots. I've got a male from that pairing who's about six months old who is redder than his dad and has more spots, so hopefully he'll be ready to breed in the next few months. I've also got some animals from another line that show a lot of spots, so I'll be able to outcross this line.

With one of my makes today I took out to look over and weigh as I do every week, I noticed he had spots. I know this probably doesn't sound very weird, but he never had them before and hes 4 years old now. He's a flame. I looked at them closely to make sure they wheren't mites or anything, but it was just weird to see how many he had on him, and when I took him out last week he didn't have them. I was just curious if you had ever heard of that before, or if I should be worried? Thanks in advance!!!

Sometimes spots will show up at around 3-4 months old, but I've never heard of an adult getting spots. I don't think I'd worry about it, but it is strange.
