I thought my albino helleri was sterile

Congratulations! I think there is often a compatability issue between certain male and female rattlesnakes. Just like humans some just don't seem to get along, or maybe one or the other is a "twelve packer" in the snakes point of view. It often takes considerable time for some pairs to commit, but once they they start they usually keep producing babies.

I have had this guy for about 8 years now. Had him since he had only one button. Western Riverside County.

That is truely awesome. Did you find him? I heard of a sighting of one, the person who spotted it didnt know what it was.

Yes, he is a real beauty. I enjoy just looking at him. I am a biology teacher and students found him while picnicing with their families and had the insight not to kill him. They caught him and gave him to me.
