Arizona Blacktails????

wesss Dec 16, 2004 10:44 PM

Does any one know of any hotspots in arizona for blacktailed rattlesnakes? I am planning a trip to arizona this spring and any info would be much appreciated. Also does any one know about herp laws of Arizona? Ive heard there pretty strict when it comes to road cruising out there.

Thanx in advance

I don't know about hot spots, but if you just hunt in any of the mountain ranges ( I prefer the lower elevations of the mountain ranges ) in SE Arizona, you are bound to find blacktails without any problems. I have road hunted consistently in AZ for the past 12 years and have never had any problems with road cruising. Just make sure you have your hunting license. I would go to the Arizona Game and Fish website to get the current regs. If I am not mistaken, I think that you can collect up to 4 Blacktails with the proper non-resident hunting license.
