Is she getting enough heat? Is she drinking water? If she isn't drinking water then she probably isn't going to eat.

If she were mine I'd take her to the vet. If you do end up taking her, and if it's as cold where you live as it is where I live, you're going to need a styrofoam container, a towel and some hand warmers. Break the handwarmers so they are getting warm, then put them in the styrofoam container, then put the towel down over the hand warmer so that she will not be able to get to them, then take her to the vet. That should keep her warm enough given the vet's not a couple hundred miles away or so.

I hope she gets better. Trust me, the love (I believe they have feelings) you recieve from these animals, even if they only lick you, is worth it.

I'm sorry to say but your leo is severly emaciated. If you've only had two days your not the one at fault. Please take it to a vet and ream out whom ever you bought it from. There are so many possible causes and possible treatments. One thing I can tell you to change right off the bat is the walnut chips, they are one of the worst substrates.

I'm sorry I don't have time to write more (I'm in the middle of exams) but good luck. Treating this little one is probably going to be a long hard road, but worth it in the end if it pulls through.

Here is my gecko at three months. The tail should be nice and plump. Check out the photo gallery for more pictures. You leopard gecko looks like a temper albino.

how big is your 3 months old gecko? about how many inches? she just ate 1 cricket.. just 1.. i left 10 mealworms and 1 cricket(with the hind legs pulled out ) inside for about a few hours..and i came back and see.. the cricket was no where in sight.. so i add another cricket(with the legs plucked off also) now.. hoping that it will be gone tomorrow morning.. is there any way i can fatten up its tail?? i'm not sure if it is drinking.. i never seen it drink.. but i've posted in many other forums and they said that it is probably stress and leave it to adjust into its envioronment.. i heard wax worm can fatten up gecko but.. i can't find any wax worm here.. ( i'm living in singapore by the way) we only have mealworms and crickets.. and some feeder centipedes!

By the way what do you mean by severly emaciated?????? i don't understand that! can you please explain what it means?? i don't think there's any vet here in singapore for geckos.. we only have vets for dogs cats and domestic animals.. i really need help!

severely emaciated means very very underweight

that gecko seems to be sick, it may have worms or somthing worse, take a fecal to a vet, worms are very east to trat with panacur administerd by a vet

if not taken care of it can prove fatal for your gecko

Hey, sorry that is the skinniest tail i have seen in a long time.

I would [bleep] out whomever you bought it from. I've talked to a non-reptile vet here in Canada before and they said they would do reptile fecals because they all get sent off to the same lab.

I would ask around in singapore and hopefully things will turn out.

Best of luck

Yeah I'd also *insert bleep here* out who I bought it from. I'd also call the cops on them and have them arrested for animal cruelty, or take care of them myself *by arresting them since I'm gonna be a cop*.

I think you just need to take the leo to the vet. Maybe the vet can keep him/her overnight and get it healthy again.

I hope things go well, the best of luck!

Hao,

I know you probably are already attached to that little guy, they are such cute little lizards.
It would be hard for anyone, but I would suggest you take him back to where you bought him... I really don't think you (or even a vet) can save that little guy. I agree with everyone else, they shouldn't have given him to you in that condition, but his illness might not have been caused by them. Sometimes a batch of leopard geckos will get sick.. it spreads real fast - I work for a vet and sometimes nothing shows in fecal tests and no medications help them. They still get that skinny and die. I wouldn't be suprised if he starts vomiting (throwing up) his food too. Sometimes when they get that malnourished, they cannot hold even the littlest of food down. I feel very sorry for you and that little gecko. I do wish the best for you, I know your resources are limited. Good luck.

She is way, way too thin. Where did you get her? She should not have been sold in such a condition, she has not been taken care of.

There may be something wrong with her(parasites, impaction, disease) best bet is to try to get a fecal sample to the vet, and keep her away from any other herps you have. And take her of that substrate and put her on paper towels, that will reduce risk of impaction, and you will be able to see her stools better.

Golden gate geckos(sponser at the top of the page has an exellent recipe for a slurry you can make and feed to the gecko to try and get her eating. I belive it is on her site, go chek it out, it may help keep her going.
