10 gallon viv plants???

bsank May 15, 2003 05:18 PM

Hi, I'm creating a vivarium that will house a couple of aurotania(hopefully). It's my first dart viv and is only a ten gallon false bottom tank. I see a lot of info on plants for tall and larger vivariums(20gal-55 gal) but not for 10. I have a small bromeliad, Vriesea racinae, and was wandering about any other plant possibilities, especially bromeliads. I also don't have flourescents that could accomodate bright light plants, too close to the ground and hot.

I have several bromeliads that would work in your 10 gallon. Vriesea ella, Vriesea serene and Neoregelia nonis to name a few.Do you have a background on the tank like cork or tree fern root? If so you can attach the broms to it and save some of your floor space.

Thanks
Ken
