Sperm Plug question

All my males except the 1 I was counting on the most are poducing sperm plugs. My Pastel is just a shade under 700 grams and has not produced any. Anybody else have this happen to them and then later in February or march have 1 come around? I am not all that upset but I do not want to dedicate females to him if he will not produce this year.

I would put the male pastel in with a few females, If he doesn't have sperm plugs he should start producing when you do that. Also how old is your male? I have a male that is a 2003 and around 450 grams and he has been producing sperm plugs for around 3 months are longer. He started breeding sometime around September. Thanks
