Poor corn snake

SerpentSyco Dec 17, 2004 08:36 PM

You will not belive what I saw today in a local pet store close to where I live. A candy can corn snake so dehydrated his skin looked like crikly paper it was very bad. I almost wanted to buy the poor fellow. And give him a good home for the time that he had left.

Why? So they can buy another one to sell in that condition? If anything, I'd call the local news or something like that. Get them to show the animal living in such bad conditions, then show a healthy one.

Do something about it, keep us updated. Mistreating and ill-keeping of something as simple as a corn snake is pathetic.

I am going to try to contact animal care and control about it.

It is funny because about four years ago they fired all of their staff because everthing was a mess and they were being wrote up all the time by animal care and control. So they hired very qualified people. There reptiles "manager" was very smart and always kept great care of all the reptiles. As a matter of fact I even purchased two corn snakes from him. A snow and a black corn (They are doing great). But then about 2 months ago they switched managers and then the new new manager fired everyone and hired idiots. And I have proof. One of my friends went to buy a corn snake (they ended up not buying one from there) and some retard who worked there told her to feed a baby corn snake gold fish. Every thing has gone down hill from there. The retards.

First off, I dont know if retard is the correct term for them.
It doesnt offend me or anything like that, but probably other people. And I have seen that retarded people can properly care for animals, not just dogs or cats, but fish, birds, and turtles as well.
