Those are some great photos you've posted. I can't wait to get a chance to go herping on the east coast again. I love walking around on a rainy summer night and seeing 50 salamanders running around on the surface, climing trees, etc.

Here's my favorite seal salamander photo. I love how it blends in with the rocks in the stream.

Glad you all enjoyed the pics.
It took me a few seconds to find the Salamander hidden among the pebbles of the creek LOL! Excellent shot!
If you ever make it out Va. ways drop me an email and we'll go find you those Salamanders (and a few other goodies).

If you do decide to head on out try for the end of May. I have had more success around that time through June than the rest of the year combined.
Unless you want to go for Amphibians only then the middle of April will be your best bet.
