Can someone point me in the right direction?

Hi everyone,

I am interested in getting a water monitor. I am just interested in any sites or books that I could be referred to for information on them before purchase. I am generally a keeper and handler of crocodilians, but I have had some interest in water monitors for a while and have now decided to look into getting one. But I would like to gather some keeping advice/info before getting it. I know the overall basics of housing, handling, feeding and so forth. I just need some extensive keeping info. Any help offered would be very much appreciated.

Chris

Thank you,

I printed out your care sheet. Like I said.....I am normally a keeper of crocodilians and I am sure that monitors of any size won't be that big of an issue for me. But I just needed some extra info. I really like your care sheet. Do you know of any reliable books on them as well by chance?

good monitor books are few and far between, you would be best served to grab the few good ones available and apply that information appropriately. we have some good monitor books listed on our site. i don't know of a good Water monitor specific book...

be sure to check out the Water Monitor article, it has more detail than the caresheet does...
