Need some help please

hi everyone

today i went to look at my Argus cross and noticed that the last 1/8 inch of his tail was brown and looked almost like dry. could this be caused from some left over dead skin that wasn't shed, therfore constricting the end of his tail? and is their anything that i can do about it? vet of just let it be? Thanks for any responses
