beardie coloration question

moko Dec 18, 2004 01:24 PM

I got two great beardies online over a month ago. In their website picture they are very orange.I have yet seen them this orange. I know they are the same beardies. One is orange german giant x citrus and the other is sandfire red/red flame x citrus. sometimes when they are relaxing their colors start to come out. What affects the color? I know they darken up when they are stressed. Any info on changes in coloration would be appreciated.

hi
if a beardie need heat and is not relaxed then they r turned dark.
if they r heated up and feel nice then they show the colors.
also uvb lighting is very importent and show the beardies pigment more.
and betacarotene in dieet can also help little bit.
fruits and veggie who r yellow, orange, red have betacarotene in them and wil give pigment more color.
if you drink fresh carrot juice 1 liter and go lay in the sun you wil get a nicer teint to
