Aggression in Female Cresteds?

Tumtum03 Dec 18, 2004 02:49 PM

Has anyone ever noticed this. I will usually house a couple females together when I am not breeding them so I can fatten them back up again and give them a cool down period before breeding them later on down the road. I have two sisters one is 52 grams and the other is 48 grams. Well just recently the bigger girl has been beating up on my other female really bad. Now I have kept them together the entire time I have had them for 4 years now. Never once had any issues with them, they clearly are not under fed either. Anyone have any ideas why they are fighting now. Also I did seperate them, the smaller female got a pretty nice gash on her nose from the bigger one!

I also had the exact problem as you and Im still puzzled. I have no idea what the cause of the competition was. I seperated them immediately and I havent tried since.
