Two Beardeds in what size tank?

lil_frogger2 Jul 02, 2003 10:27 PM

I plan on buying two young female bearded dragons. I was wondering what size terrarium I would need when they are full grown. Would 55 gallons be enough? Thanks.

Its been recommended that one bearded dragon should housed in a 55 gallon but I have also read a pair in a 55 is fine also. However my feeling is the bigger the better. Also another consideration is the way the dragons take to each other. If one doesn't over power the other in terms of eating then the setup would probably be fine. But yet again bigger is always better.

55 is good for one, but not two. 75 or more is preferable for two, I think. Some people say at least 65 or at least 100, and 75, to me, is a nice settling point.
