I never have ordered a snake over the phone I usually go buy them but in this case I may and was just wondering?

Its important to order from someone you trust and is reputable, I'm not saying not to give anyone else a chance that is new to the hobby, but when in doubt I will not order anything from the person I am nervous about. But it seems everyone gets a case of mites sooner or later, and sometimes a small number of the tiny ones are hard to see, so I always give a good bath and spray the new snakes home to be when they come in, just to make sure that they aren't carrying any "passengers" with them.

I always treat new animals cage areas with Provent a Mite spray so that in the unlikely event i get a new animal with mites, or if it was stored in transit with other reptiles with mites and one walked on over- etc- that i dont infest my whole collection.
