Pretty motley. I've always found it interesting that the motley corn is a recessive trait, whereas in boas it's dominant (actually co-dominant in that the homozygote has a different phenotype), and also the hypo trait in corn snakes is recessive, whereas in boas it's co-dominant. Go figure.
In ball pythons hypo is recessive. There's no "motley", but the Mojave ball looks closest to "motley" and appears to be co-dominant. However, the homozygote appears to be a solid white snake (leucistic), whereas the homozygote motley boa is solid black (or purple). Interesting.
That is an excellent observation, I hadn't considered that.
I can't imagine that it means anything, but it is very odd.
Living is beautiful, I think I'll keep doing it.
