Hiya

I have a pair of ackies and would love to breed them.
I have been pointed towards this board for some great advice. I wonder if you guys could give me some pointers?
Many thanks

You might want to try simulating seasons... shorter light periods in winter, longer in summer, maybe a wet-season.

If I understand correct it's very difficult to get these guys to mate, especially if you bought them mature.

Your best option -if you want to breed them- is to buy a group of juveniles and start from scratch.

Build or buy a 4'X 2'X 2' enclosure, fill it with a foot of dirt. Have a hot spot of 160F on one side and semi-seal the top with plexi-glass. Add water to the substrate (no mud/no dust), water building up on the walls and/or top means too much. Take two 18"X 18"X 3/4" plywood pieces and place one on each end.

Good luck,
Lou~
