First of all I would like to say that it is very sad when any animal or living creature dies, and when it's an animal or animals that you enjoy it is even more disturbing. There have been many others including myself calling the aspca on that place for months if not years!!!You guys are correct in saying that it is VERY sad that those animals had to die, but if any of you would of seen the shape that these animals were kept in you would of wondered if they were dead already. If anyone thinks that petco has bad conditions then you would of probably been sick after walking in this place. I personally know someone who worked there and tried to have every snake that was given in by Joe Public to me so I could save it from its slow death in tanks filled with iguanas, torts, corn snakes, pythons, boas, etc.....Half of them star gazing and the mites were like fleas along with the smell................And the best part about B.T.J.'s Jungle is that they had a sign above the reptile room saying................LONG ISLANDS MOST EXOTIC REPTILE COLLECTIION
I hope that any of you who live in the NY Area who see conditions like this please contact me about things like this and we can try to get animals better living conditions. Because I never see anyone doing anything about this locally, herp societies, breeders, etc.... Everyone cries when a puppy gets mistreated, someone has to be there for the reptiles as well. Thanks
