Yes. You'd be much better off if you'd get one that is well started. It depends a lot on who the breeder is & where you buy it. True breeders have the experience to raise hardy, healthy babies. Most of us even breed our own pinhead crickets so they are readily available and always gut-loaded. While the hobbyist often lack experience, have a shortage of food, and want to sell the babies too soon.

If you are not really experienced with chams I would definitely go with a juvenile rather than the baby. There will be some baby mortality in any clutch, so the longer you "wait" the more likely the weaker babies have already dropped out. Much easier to feed for one thing unless you really LIKE having all those fruit flies around. A breeder who keeps his babies longer tends to care more about them and is willing to give them better starts on life. You are probably getting a better quality animal too. You can start off with more of an adult cage setup too instead of needing baby caging in addition.
