Is this your snake? If so send it to me, because you have too many nice looking boas! Later

Charles...

When you say custom white balance, are you changing the WB with Nikon capture after you take the photo in NEF format, or are you actually using a white card to "pre-set" the white balance prior to shooting. I've actually found (at least on the D70) that the preset white balance settings actually work out ok. If I'm in a strange lighting situation, I usually just fix the color temperature (again, only on my NEF files) in capture as I find manually setting the white balance to be a complete pain in the ass.

just curious as to what you do 'cause the photo looks great given the minimum in door set-up.

cheers,
gabriel

I don't see a pic, but, I have been using the GE reveal lately and getting good results (also using the 100watt)
I think that's super cool, I don't have a fancy camera (far from it.) but I take ok pictures some times.
this one is not bad. (natural (bad) lighting)

Of course it's my opinion, I said it, didn't I?
Are they using the beef to control your mind? That stuff in your cigarettes, your beer and the wine Is working its way, infiltrating your spine, Today is the day you should wake up and find That they’re using the beef to control your mind. --(excerpt from a musical I wrote...)

OK, due to money and housing I can't get a snake right now but will someday. I am however allowed to do as much bead work as I want and that picture would make an awsome beaded bag. I will have to start working on the colors and pattern. I will let you know if it ever becomes a reality.
