I don't have a leopard gecko...yet, but I have been thinking about getting one. My questions: I have read on many care sheets that tile makes a great substrate and an under tank heater works well for them....Will the heat from an undertank heater go through the tile to provide warmth? Also will they eat the canned insects or do they have to be live...I ask only because I swithched my bearded dragon to canned after many trips to the vet for dewormings due to live insects. Thanks in advance for any replys

Yep, tile conducts heat very well so you don't have to worry about your gecko getting cold. Canned insects actually aren't very good for them. Yuo can feed gutloaded mealworms. They are very easy to keep and since the leos will eat them out of a bowl it's almost like feeding canned stuff.

What about parasites? I saw a product in the classified section called parazap...does that work with leopard geckos? Deworming my beardie was such a pain, not to mention he HATED the meds from the vet and she said he got them from live insects.

crickets carry pinworms. to my knowledge this is not a problem with mealies. most of the reason I switched actually
