Question about my veiled...

jon4534 Dec 19, 2004 07:29 PM

I have a baby vieled chameleon that hisses, bites, and turns dark brown when I pick her up or handle her. Will she stay like this or will she calm down and loose her little temper.

Thank You.

Hey,
You can never be quite sure how her temperment will turn out until she reaches sexual maturity. She may be mean now, but she may turn out to be a "nice" chameleon. Or, on the other hand, she may be mean now, and when she reaches adulthood, become even more aggresive. Generally, chameleons dont like to be handled, even though there are those few that will tolerate moderate handling. It stresses them out. Baby chameleons also shouldnt be handled to much...if she turns dark brown and hisses and snaps constantly, I dont think you should handle her to often. I hope this info has helped a little, and good luck!
