Hey how do you put the sliding glass door tracks on. Do you run the Substrate Dam on the outside or the inside of the cage? How do you measure the Glass for the door. Thanks

>>Hey how do you put the sliding glass door tracks on.

I attach them to the lip with Liquid Nails.

That depends. If I'm building a separate face frame from real wood stock I attach it directly to the front of the cage, therby covering the exposed, cut edges of the laminated plywood.

If I'm using cut strips of plywood for the lips/substrate dams they run between the sides on the inside of the cage.

They I cover the cut plywood edges with edge tape or some moulding.

For the glass track I've used I believe it was 7/16" less than the rough opening of the cage. Some products vary.

By rough opening I mean the distance between the upper and lower lips BEFORE the track is attached.

Again, you'll need to check with the instructions on whatever product you buy.
