Can you acually feed Veileds salad?

CollardGuy Dec 19, 2004 09:50 PM

I read something like that in a post further down. I know they eat Pothos, Umbrella plant, and other plants in there cage, but can you put leaves of lettuce or something in there for them?

Most people in America are either Democrat or Republican. I am neither. It is much more fun to sit back and wach them batter each other to dust.

I feed some of my Veileds salads. Not all of them are wild about eating vegetation but I always have had at least one that prefers a salad to insects or worms. I give them the same thing I feed to my Iguana. A mixture of greens such as Dandelion, Collards, Mustards and/or Turnip. Some slivered Squash such as Butternut, slivered Carrot, along with some small peices of fruit such as Mango, Papaya or Raspberries. Don't use lettuce of any kind there just isn't any nutrition in it. Other veggies such as Brocolli have a Calcium to Phorphorus ratio that is too low to be of any benefit to your Veiled. Hope this helps, Mark.
