mean python trouble

I work at this pet shop where we have a two foot albino burmese that is so mean. He will bite anyone that even comes near him. I have a 12 foot burm and am not afraid of getting bit. Infact I have been bitten by this burm so many times, but he just wont calm down even with frequent handling. I have herd that rubber gloves help that when the snake bites you he doesnt like the taste and learns not to bite. I wasnt sure if that was really true and wondered if there was anything else I can do because this guy has been here for about 3 months and isnt going to be sold anytime soon.

I'd be willing to bet, it's not the snake that is inherently mean, but his living conditions. No peace and quiet. Not optimum living conditions.
Etc etc...
A pet shop enviornment just does'nt make for comfy surroundings.
Even some of my hatchlings, when added to new enclosures without hides, or in my herp room when I'm working there all the time will always strike.
Watch his temps, his humidity, his photoperiods, his feedings, and his privacy, and I bet he calms right down.
As far as the rubber glove thing. If the rubber is soft enough, his teeth may catch in it, creating all new problems.
I'm not so sure about the bad taste thing either.

yup..i agree....i was given a baby boa that was so mean you couldnt get near the thing with out it striking...it would strike at the glass when i was accross the room...
I set it up in a rubbermaid tub in my snake room and fed it lots..(it was fairly skinny) and in about 2 wks i could reach in a pick it right up...never struck at me again....
It went to a show and was handled by several people and did just fine...
